Who is Mutual of Omaha?

Originally founded in 1909 and based out of Omaha, Nebraska, Mutual of Omaha (formerly United Benefit Life Insurance Company) is a Fortune 500 insurance and financial services company. They offer a variety of Medicare supplement plans—including prescription drug and dental insurance plans—as well as employer-based plans, and life, disability, dental, cancer, and long-term care insurance.

Compared to many other popular Medicare supplement providers, Mutual of Omaha also offers a no-cost Additional Benefit Rider that provides third-party discounts and services, such as:

  • Mutually Well — This program delivers up to 30% discounts on more than 20,000 healthy living products and services and provides access to fitness and walking programs.
  • Amplifon Hearing Health Care — Helps you save on Amplifon’s hearing tests and aids.
  • EyeMed Vision Care — Gives you the opportunity to save $50 on eye exams, 40% on frames up to $140, and discounted pricing on lenses and other services.
